Vision Impossible, PH Presidentiables!? Well, You Have To Use Your Inner Sight, Insight. Do Not Allow The Negatives To Negate Your Campaign!
The above image shared by Mark Nas says: “Asin of the father is not asin of the son. #ChefExecutive. #CommanderInChef. #pinakVote2022.” A Facebook message 05 Feb 2022 against Bongbong Marcos (BBM), one of our presidential candidates.

In Ilocano, asinis salt. Mr Nas’ crafty message implies this: “A sin of the father is not a sin of the son.” BBM did not inherit any sin from his father, President Ferdinand Marcos. A double entendre – you deny even as you imply. Clever!
Nonetheless, this true-blue Ilocano says, “Thank you, Mark Nas!” I get the idea. “ChefExecutive” is Chief Executive or President. Like: The entire government is made up of one huge main restaurant with branches all over the country in towns and cities.
Now, we talk about Vision, Mission and Strategy (VMS) – which I insist must be individually & independently presented by each presidential candidate so we can choose our Chef Executive:
BBM
Ping Lacson
Isko Moreno
Manny Pacquiao
Leni Robredo.
Since I a creative positive thinker was inspired by a creative negative thinker, and since I relate to BBM because I am a full-blooded Ilocano (FBI), my grandfather on the father side having roots in Rosario, La Union, as an FBI I will now use the Ilocano pinakbet as a take-off point: As a UP Los Baños alumnus, my main interest is Agriculture.
Double Vision – “Doble Baknang: Taltalon Ken Agtaltalon” (Double Rich: Farms & Farmers) in villages. Enriching incomes for cultivators of the soil and raisers of livestock and poultry. Rich farm soils with constant practice of organic farming: No chemical fertilizers and pesticides applied. Healthy Meals for restaurant eaters in each Philippine city & town. Total Primate Change!
Mission –
Produce a holistic program of government to bring about the Vision, with different sectors contributing as well as growing: Agriculture, Education, Industry, Trade, Training etc. (Vice President in charge.)
Strategy –
Zero or limited importation. Regions will produce their own specialty crop/s and/or poultry and/or livestock/s. Thus, the Ilocos Region will produce the pinakbet vegetables and pork; Central Luzon will concentrate on rice; Southern Tagalog will concentrate on farm tourism…
Now, since pinakbet(pinakvote2022) is a special mention by the creator of the anti-BBM “Asin of the father…” I would like to share a few words on this dish.
Pinakbet. The Ilocano version, the original, is cooked from the vegetables eggplant, garlic, okra, string beans, tomato, and bitter melon, with pork and bagoong isda (fish sauce). Pinakbet means “shrunk” or “shriveled.” You don’t slice the vegetables so that as they cook, they will become wrinkled (pinakebbet, or pinakbet – made to furrow by cooking). The beauty and taste is in the process and product of pinakbet. You are not an FBI if you don’t know how to cook the real pinakbet.
I emphasize Vision: Tens of millions of farmers consistently earning and rising beyond poverty and staying up there! Assure me that and you are my PH Presidentiable!@517
